Alpaca Farm
A rare desert experience of freedom and quiet, where friendly alpacas are part of the landscape in Mitzpe Ramon.
In the heart of the quiet, boundless desert, on the high hills of the Negev, lies the Alpaca Farm — since 1987, a warm and welcoming home for people, animals, and the spirit of the desert.
Here, humans and alpacas share the same path, moving side by side in simple, loving harmony.
What began as a dream of Ilan and Naama — a dream rooted in pioneering spirit, creativity, and a deep love for animals — has grown into a living, breathing space where real connections are woven between people, animals, and the landscape.
You’re invited to slow down, feed a friendly alpaca, and truly feel the desert from within. Join a guided story tour, learn about the world’s one-of-a-kind alpaca wool, and discover many more surprises along the way.
And if you’re looking for a magical night under the stars, stay with us in one of our cozy guest units. Want something deeper? Join one of our special retreats that blend nature, body, and soul.

We offer a variety of cozy and charming accommodation options: from intimate, romantic cabins for couples, to spacious suites for families or groups of up to 9 guests, and even a beautiful yurt village with ten air-conditioned and heated yurts — each combining comfort with the magic of the desert and friendly alpaca neighbors right outside your door.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll find moments of togetherness, a genuine connection with nature, and an experience so simple and heartfelt — it stays with you long after you’ve left.
Retreats & Workshops
The desert’s quiet and its wild horizons hold a special kind of calm — almost meditative in its simplicity.
That’s exactly why we built a retreat village unlike any you’ve known. The accommodation spaces are lovingly designed, with attention to detail felt in every corner. The gathering and practice areas are spacious and inspiring — bathed in warm light during winter, shaded and air-conditioned in summer.
Together, they create a natural playground and endless possibilities for crafting a truly unforgettable event.
If you’re seeking a retreat experience that speaks to the heart and soul — we invite you to explore our retreats and workshops, and discover the one that feels just right for you.
For teachers and facilitators planning your own retreat — we’d love to offer you a complete hosting experience, so you can focus on your group and create memories that will last for years to come.

Alpaca wool
Since 1987, we’ve been living side by side with our alpacas — not just for their exceptional wool, but out of a deep love and a dream to live with animals in a natural, respectful way.
These “princesses of wool” gift us their fleece as part of a seasonal shearing — a gentle, essential process that keeps them healthy and happy.
The unique climate of the Negev Highlands allows us to raise our alpacas in peace, nurture their wool with care, and transform it — with loving hands and time-honored methods — into soft, high-quality fibers that travel all the way to your knitting needles.
We invite you to join us on this journey: from meeting the alpacas up close, to touring our wool workshop, and choosing local yarns and natural products in our farm shop. It’s a chance to touch a material that begins with a nuzzle from an alpaca — and ends in the warm embrace of a handmade sweater.

My daughters really want to go back!
It’s an ideal place for kids – there are so many alpacas!
Sweet dogs, goats, donkeys, and more…
You can feed all the animals with the food provided at reception.
The rooms are nice, with a hammock outside.
The place is quiet, and of course very hot in the summer, but being able to walk around and spend time with the animals kept my daughters happily busy the whole time.

We stayed in a yurt.
I came with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The place was extremely clean, and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped for cooking, including cookware, cutlery, plates, glasses, an oven, stovetop and refrigerators. We brought our own food to prepare meals. There is also a coffee corner with good-quality instant coffee (just bring milk from home). Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kids had a great time and felt free to explore the farm, even joining the animal feeding rounds and helping feed the animals twice a day.
