Starry Skies Above Makhtesh Ramon
Makhtesh Ramon is an International Dark Sky Reserve, the first in the Middle East and one of only 54 worldwide. Spend the night at the farm or nearby, look up, and experience a breathtaking sky. Independent or guided stargazing is a truly unforgettable experience.
Makhtesh Ramon
Makhtesh Ramon is the largest of the Negev craters, known for its breathtaking landscapes and unique geological features. The area includes ancient dikes cutting through sand dunes, colorful sands, flowing springs, canyons, dramatic cliffs, and even the “Carpentry” a rare site of sandstone or basalt rock formations that resemble stacked wooden planks.

The Glowing Path
Located within the Sculpture Garden, the new Glowing Path offers an easy, accessible walk along a magical promenade scattered with star like lights. At night, it feels as if you are walking among the stars.

The Carpentry
A sandstone hill topped with dark stone formations that resemble wooden planks or beams scattered across a carpenter’s workshop floor. A rare and fascinating natural phenomenon well worth a visit.

The Ammonites Wall
A rock wall embedded with fossilized ammonites, ancient marine creatures that lived millions of years ago. A rare and fascinating natural site worth visiting.
Nahal Havarim
A scenic walking trail through a dramatic desert canyon, beginning at Bor Havarim, an ancient rainwater cistern carved by the Nabataean tribes, and ending near the access road to Avdat National Park. Along the way, you’ll encounter desert plants, wildlife, and fascinating rock layers. Especially recommended as a night hike during a full moon.

Bor Hamat
Bor Hamat is a partially restored water cistern where you can see ancient methods of collecting rain and floodwater, essential for desert agriculture. Nearby, agricultural terraces can still be found along shallow channels, once used for early farming.

Western Border Road (Route 10)
Stretching about 180 km, Route 10 is a scenic drive offering sweeping views of the Sinai Peninsula and the central Negev mountains. The road passes key landmarks along Israel’s western border and is open to the public only on holidays. We recommend checking with us before planning your visit.
